Introducing CrossFit Mystic, a growing Connecticut gym using Wodify to modernize operations, enhance member tracking, and deliver a premium fitness experience.

Challenge

When CrossFit Mystic was just starting out, owner Chris Banks didn’t have much familiarity with gym management software, nor did he have a defined set of requirements. With fewer than 50 members at the time, a less expensive software system like RhinoFit was adequate. However, as he gained a larger membership and received more feedback, Banks needed an all-in-one Customer Retention Platform (CRP) with features RhinoFit simply didn’t have. It was time to upgrade to a solution that could keep up and grow with his growing business.

Solution

CrossFit Mystic discovered Wodify’s Customer Retention Platform after visiting other area gyms and watching it in action. It had exactly what they were looking for. “We wanted a one-stop shop, our members wanted to log their workouts and track their progress,” said Banks. “Wodify is the best with that. We just wanted something that you could do everything within one software.”

Their team quickly realized that Wodify could solve the software challenges they were facing with RhinoFit, while also helping them move away from the “garage gym” atmosphere they were promoting at the time. Banks said, “The Wodify monitors add a sleeker look to our gym. CrossFit Mystic attracts a ‘well-off’ demographic, so I think the expectation is that we have a cleaner, more upscale look.”

Results

With Wodify’s CRP, CrossFit Mystic now has all of the necessary information about members and financials at their fingertips, along with the ability to customize the software to meet their specific needs. This comes in handy for Banks, as his favorite feature is the ability to reserve and cap his classes. “We want to keep our classes small and keep the coach-to-athlete ratio down. We’ve gotten a lot of good use out of that feature.” To that end, CrossFit Mystic is now able to harness Wodify’s powerful attendance reports to follow up with athletes and make sure they are showing up to the classes they’ve reserved. Compared to their former software system, Wodify’s CRP gives them a more accurate picture of their gym’s attendance.
