Introducing Creature Fitness, a premier Australian training community built on performance, passion, and purpose—helping members push their limits while streamlining operations across multiple locations.
Challenge
Before becoming an owner, Raph Freedman saw CrossFit explode in popularity, but the local gym he trained at was lacking. “A few months in, [my future partners and I] realized, this could be done better,” he said. So they decided to take the plunge.
But as soon as they did, they found that owning a gym wasn’t as easy as they first thought. They underestimated the amount of admin work required, and overestimated the prospective clients they thought would sign up. Freedman admits he became a gym owner sooner than he should have, and that he and his partners needed help.
Solution
Creature Fitness chose Wodify’s Customer Retention Platform after having disappointing results with other CRMs. With easy-to-digest reports, Freedman and his partners now had time to recruit new members, coach classes, and grow their business. They also found that the Wodify Kiosk helped their gym stand out for new members. “We try to be premium in everything we do at the gym, and that starts by having a premium client management system like Wodify. It’s the first interaction a new member has with the gym…and they’re really impressed,” said Freedman.
Results
Creature Fitness has opened two more locations and grown to over 300 members, but even though they’ve gotten bigger, Wodify has helped them solve new challenges and keep their business operations streamlined so they could increase lead generation and customer retention. “The most important way Wodify has helped us, is that as we started to scale, things didn’t get more complex.” As a result, Creature Fitness has become a more profitable and fun business to run. For example, by not spending all of their time on admin tasks, Raph and his business partner Lachlan Rowston were able to launch The Mind Muscle Project and pursue their passion of sharing lessons learned with other gym owners.
